This Christmas let’s look at this quote in a different manner as it relates to Jesus. The meaning of His Life was to be our gift; the purpose of His Life was to give it away. Christ is our perfect Gift because God loved us so much, He gave us His only begotten Son. Jesus knew His purpose in life when He gave it all away for us on the Cross.
It was all done on purpose: “For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” John 6:33 “In him (Jesus) was life, and that Life was the light of all mankind.” John 1:4 Now it’s time to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year in a special way.
This must be done on purpose. Accept the Gift of Christ as your Lord and Savior. Be part of the chosen people, God’s special possession, so we can praise Him because He has taken us out of the darkness and into His wonderful light. It’s the best gift you will receive this Christmas and then do something else on purpose: Give the Gift away by sharing Him with others.
