No matter how many times life knocks you down
Get up with more ganas and get rid of that frown
Setbacks are a bump on the journey that will not last
As long as you learn and make them a thing of the past
Life issues grab you and pull you deep into the ground
Making you stuck in your darkness with no one around
Only you really know the innermost thoughts in your head
You hear it over and over - even words that were not said
Want More and Selfish were right next to me
Good character is corrupted by bad company
Alcohol and ambition tried to make an ash out of Gee
But like the phoenix from ashes, he stepped out of that tree
Stronger than ever I am able to tell my story
Now my life is not about me, it’s all for His glory
Jesus pulled me out of the darkness and into His light
Making it easy to walk because His Word is so bright
The best choice I made was a life commitment to Him
Now I have love, peace and joy while wearing my brim
Rise up and ask Him to show you the Way
He’ll carry you forward into Peace on your final day
